I’m Mariana - a fine art, portrait and commercial photographer from Monterrey, Mexico now living in Austin, Texas.
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. Not only for art we can create through a lens, but for the magic a camera can capture - from a smile, to a gesture, to the colors that make up the world as we see it.
My goal in my portraiture is to bring authenticity to every shot, to represent the people I see in a genuine way and let them show up as they are.
I started out as a self-taught photographer and then rounded out my education with a three year certificate program in Fine Art Photography at the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle - a school with a very special place in my heart.
I have worked professionally as a family photographer for almost twelve years and have recently expanded into the world of commercial and branding photography - a new step I am very excited about. I also enjoy creating art through my photographs both abstract and street. You can see more of my Fine Art work here.
